The Redistribution of Memory

Year: 2021

The Redistribution of Memory sheds light on the daily struggle of the immigration process in the democratic society today. This work is a response to my personal experience of the British citizenship process, as well as my political relationship to the state over the last five years.  I attempted to represent the reflection of human progress in society and negotiate the national identity, power and value of time through the durational performance. This body of work has been a result of my investigation into the process of social and cultural changes as a consequence of political issues.

To emphasis the process of formation, transition and  the reality of migration,  I have commented on the dehumanisation of modern society and explore the range of geopolitical and national developments in our global world.
